Workshop overview
Since October 7th, educators and community professionals have found themselves in a new and painful reality.
The war has brought grief, fear, and disagreement into classrooms, camps, and staff meetings. But most educators haven’t been trained to hold conversations like these.
This workshop is for communities navigating:
Avoidance of difficult but necessary conversations
Loss of confidence when engaging in arguments
A desire to engage without knowing where to start
Fear that arguments will “go badly,” or lead to more division.
Participants walk away with:
Tools to argue more effectively, with confidence and care
A sense of what it means to practice, not just talk about, healthy argument
Renewed clarity on the value of argument in Jewish communal life

“Before the conversation started, we were asked to respond to a prompt and say how strongly we held our belief. It changed the way we entered the discussion. Everyone had already reflected, and that helped shape the tone.”
